It’s an unfortunate, proven fact that egos and greed play a significant role in today’s music business. But haven’t they always?
Leicester, England’s Simon Edwards, is looking to change all of that, and in April 2020, he celebrated the first anniversary of his agency, Mix Artist Management.
“I wanted to do things differently based around the love for music and connecting people,” Simon explained. “I’ve been going to raves since the late 90s and have a passion for all things Trance, but I love other genres too.”
Building his roster through various projects that help artists connect to brands they wouldn’t otherwise have access, Simon says he does it merely for the love of the industry.
“I help promote producers to record labels, promoters, and even new fans. It’s a joy to watch these young people grow.”
“It’s a tough job,” Simon admits. “But, the agency has grown massively in a short space of time, and it is a tremendous joy to work alongside heroes of mine and meet others with the same passion.”
