Ten years ago, Elliptical Sun Recordings was born with the release of Russian artist Alfoa‘s Inside Of Me EP.
Since then, ESR has been climbing the ladder of Progressive Trance labels, releasing cutting-edge records that evoke a wide range of emotions.
The label has become known for euphoric and anthemic melodies stitched atop dance floor-friendly basslines and grooves, and has been the breeding ground for such artists as Adrian Alexander, Paul Arcane, Quizzow, Nourey and Nikhil Prakash, to name just a few.
For their 500th release, ESR invited several artists from their diverse label family to remix their favorite tracks from our catalog including classics East & Atlas’ Samoa and Jeff Ozmits’ Show Me Love coupled with recent releases including Aressa’s Mystery and Airo & Robert B’s The Distant.
In total, the release is an 11-track compilation. The first round of remixers from the Elliptical Sun Recordings 500 compilation sees Nikhil Prakash, Nourey, and Vintage & Morelli step up to the plate.
Having delivered music on the label dating back to 2017’s Noodle, Nikhil Prakash has become a master of edgy productions with feel-good melodies. Choosing a song that’s right up his alley, Nikhil has reworked the 2017 hit Oxygen by Adrian Alexander & The Antipodes, giving the anthem his signature bass-heavy paint job.
Nourey, a Trance producer and MIT student out of Boston, has recently shot up the ranks of female producers in the scene. Coming off her recent remix for Gabriel & Dresden on Anjunabeats, Nourey serves up her electro-inspired take on Quizzow’s hit Era Of Tomorrow.
Finally, having only appeared on ESR’s Melodies imprint back on the ESM200 release, Serbia’s Vintage & Morelli makes his Elliptical Sun Recordings debut with his deep house-flavored respray of Jeff Ozmits’ Above & Beyond Group Therapy “Push The Button” winner, Show Me Love.
