Since the beginning of the current world situation in March, Columbus, Ohio’s Entel (real name Anthony Bergamesca) has been fortunate in spending a great deal of time composing music.

Columbus, Ohio’s Entel Is Rapidly Making A Name For Himself

From the list, Entel’s chosen five songs to release independently on his Entelect imprint. A new song(s) each week for the next four, the goal is to expand the story of his Progressive musical alias.

September 28, 2020, launches the story with Whispers. Entel’s newest melodic creation, the song is a cross-over with radio-friendly aspects to the progression. Like a whisper in the air, it glides into a progressive atmosphere that takes the listener on an enticing journey. With a bouncy bassline, accompanied by a fierce arp top-line and warm saw chords that carry the tune through its energetic beginnings, the breakdown builds a sense of euphoria as it opens up into the final part of the song. The result is a powerful and emotive chord progression.

Rhae/Ghost EP is the result of inspiration House music has on Entel’s sound and a melodic twist. Rhae and Ghost are two bass line driven progressive songs. The lead track, Rhae, starts with a powerful bass groove. As the track progresses, a melodic top-line takes over, driving the track home. The theme is similar for Ghost, but with an eerie after-hours tone to compliment it.

Atlas is an emotional and powerful melodic journey that encompasses everything Entel loves about progressive music. Big arpeggiated patterns and basslines with emotional breakdowns that pull a listener in. The compositions that come out of Hans Zimmer’s studio are very inspiring to him, and he tried to capture the emotion from films like The Dark Knight or Interstellar for the cinematic section.

Reflections is a vocal-driven track with a sexy groove. The song begins with a deep bassline that evolves into a melodic soundscape. The melody pulls a listener in, complimenting the vocal line with an energetic atmosphere. The lyrics tell a subtle story of love wanting to be seen and experienced. Reflection is a progressive ode to realizing what we have in front of us and appreciating the moment.
