Asteroid Continues to Impress, and “The Distance” is an Uplifting Vocal Hit

After the highly successful remix of Beyond Time by Raz Nitzan and Ellie Lawson, Asteroid (real name Matt Thomas) again teams up with Ellie for an absolutely mesmerizing and perfectly mastered original The Distance via Raz Nitzan Music.

The song is more in-depth than you would expect. After a couple of listens, The Distance seems to awaken the senses with sounds and effects that weren’t previously heard.

Not to overplay the fact, but the mastering of this track is exceptional. But, for a tune to be appropriately mastered, it must have superb production, and Asteroid continues to impress with his growth in the field.

“I’m really pleased with my step up production-wise this year,” Asteroid said. “I’ve taken more time on my tracks, and it’s been totally worth it.”

Ellie’s vocals are a no-brainer, she’s one of the best, and these three elements combine for, simply put, a damn good song.

A testament to the quality of The Distance is evident with its ability to enter Beatport’s top 100 Trance chart within 24 hours, and the song remains steady at number 31.

Overall, this is a keeper, and it could be the stepping stone Asteroid needs to catapult him to the forefront of today’s top uplifting Trance producers.
